i love to probe jared for catholic school boy info. it amazes me how many bible stories he knows. i went to a lutheran school until i was 9. i knew all that stuff inside and out. by the time i was 12, i had mentally blocked all of it. i am totally clueless now when it comes to any form of judaism/christianity.

but here’s what came up last night that i’m still unsure of - why christianity? why was that the religion that stuck? before, each area had it’s own little form of mythology to explain the world around them and instill a system of fear/power. these, of course, became disproven over time with the advancement of science. then the jewish came in and pretty much converted most to their religion. and with that came christianity, an off shoot of judaism.

now, it’s pretty known that the jews/christians forced the “pagans” to change their beliefs. thousands of battles, the crusades, et cetera made the european continent pretty damn God-fearing.

so, is that the secret? it became one of the most prevalent religions because of fear and threat? even murder?

well, just as the smaller mythologies were disproven by science, so has christianity been disproven. i am appalled by people that reject evolution. it is so damn obvious. but i shall not go off on that rant right now. i did that enough with my critical thinking class a few terms ago and that ignorant bitch Anneka Campbell.

so, if the secret to becoming a major power house in the religion camp was just to kill off those who didn’t follow you, doesn’t that logically mean that all we need to do now is kill off all the christians? i think so.

i know i look young, but come one

i went shopping with linda the other day. i was looking for a dress. of course i couldn’t find anything, spring is just not my season. so, out of annoyance, i decided to get my ears pierced instead. i went in and the girl asked me if i was over 18, or was my mom signing for me. wtf?!?! my mom just laughed and walked away. then i had to show her an id. i was probably older than her even.

yesterday i went out fabric shopping (can’t find a dress… make one yourself). as i was looking around a lady came up and asked me if i needed help. i told her no, that i was just browsing the fabrics looking for ideas. then she asked me if it was for a prom dress.

really, do i look like a high school girl? no. i’ve got way to much college-life flab for that.

yippeee! finally got tickets. 1st seated row. now i gotta go find a better seating chart than the on ticketmaster has.

9:52, still no tickets on sale. argh.

it’s 8:45. tickets were supposed to go on sale at 8:00. i hate this. don’t these people know this is too early to start stressing me out? i just wanna go back to bed.
