Cuz Charlie’s Angels really was a chick flick

Here’s a great quote form Lucy Lui:

“We know women loved Charlie’s Angels, but we wanted to appeal to more men. We wanted to make it tougher. That’s why we called it Full Throttle - it’s a total porn name.”

Apparently there are other stupid people in the world, not just at the Naro. We get some great phone calls but this guy takes the cake.

It’s no Cat Bowling, that’s for sure

I was introduced to the world of bowling the other night. Boy was it strange.

Some of the Cora kids had planned a bowling night, apparently Sunday is “Dollar Lanes” night. They’ve done it before, but I never went because (unfortunately) I was working. But I got off early enough on Sunday to go.

As soon as we pulled into the parking lot I knew I was in for an experience. It was packed!!! And I’m talking a large parking lot here. Other Jared, Osiris, and Brandon were hanging out in the parking lot eating some Taco Bell because there was actually an hour and a half wait for a lane. And the place had 60 lanes!!!!

Jules wasn’t as amazed as I was. He said he knew it would be busy because it’s Dollar Lane night and it was a holiday (Monday being Memorial Day). I’m just really clueless on this bowling sub-culture we’ve got going on.

So we go inside and I can’t even tell you how far my jaw dropped to the ground. The place was FULL. People everywhere. Who are these people? Who goes BOWLING??? It was absolutely amazing. 60 lanes and they were all full.

And, on top of that, the place was closing at midnight. Now, nothing about that seemed strange to me at first. In fact, I thought midnight would have been staying open late. But no, they were closing early at midnight because someone had reserved the place from 12 - 6:30. wtf?!?!

I guess people just really do love bowling. There’s a whole world out there that I wasn’t even aware of.

Oh, “Did I bowl?” you might be asking yourself….. HELL NO!!
