Today I got a brand new vacuum cleaner. I’ve never owned my very own vacuum before. It’s so great, I love it. It has little red and green lights that tell you when the floor is clean. :-) I can’t wait to go home and play with it. I also got a new iron. Don’t want any more burnt dresses. (wink, wink)
Yipppeeee!!! Today I got the DJ Shadow Six Days DVD single in the mail. I’ve been hunting for this thing since November. It’s awesome!!! Directed by Wong Kar Wai. Woooo-hooooo.

Synopsis (from ifilm):
Shadow was keen to try something new and different for this video and approached Wong Kar-Wai, one of his favorite filmmakers. It turned out that Kar-Wai was a fan of Shadow’s music and was keen to direct for him. The idea was to make a short film revolving around the song’s hook line, “Tomorrow never comes until it’s too late….” The plot centers around a guy who, upon discovering his girlfriend has betrayed him, tries to destroy all traces of their relationship, eventually realizing that what is done cannot be undone.
WKW cast Chang Chen (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) as the lead actor; Danielle Graham, Asia’s current leading model, plays his woman. The video was shot by famed cinematographer Christopher Doyle, who has worked on all of WKW’s films and has also shot films by directors Gus Van Sant, Barry Levinson and Philip Noyce.
My PT Anderson obsession is returning. He is just so fucking cool. I love awesome directors.
I think I’ll watch Punch Drunk Love again tonight.
I went to visit my dad Saturday to help him with his computer. We went out to get a pizza at this new place that opened near his house. It was just a standard little buffet style cheap family pizza joint. Naturally, it was filled with all kinds of overweight people and their overweight children - and my dad hates fat people. I don’t know why, I think to him it just symbolizes lazy and sloth maybe. But he was soo funny. Honestly, out of every five people that walked through the door, three of them were overweight. It was amazing. You just couldn’t help but notice.
But it didn’t really hit me until today when I was reiterating the story to Jules, not only did I grow up surrounded by the pageant industry, but also a fat-hating father. No wonder I have such a fucked up self-image.
