I think I’m becomming lactose intolerant. :( I’m so sad.

I’ve been getting a lot of tummy aches lately and I couldn’t figure out why. I tried to narrow it down to something that I’ve been eating. I started just eating things by themselves to see how I would react, and sure enough, anything dairy makes me feel icky.

I’m crying.

Tomorrow I’m going to get accupuncture. Maybe the person working on me will be able to tell me of any weird imbalances. Hopefully it’s just a temporary thing caused by stress or a vitamin deficiency… something easily correctable. I sure hope it’s not an age thing. I hear that lots of people stop digesting dairy properly in their 20’s and 30’s.

I guess for now I’ll just have to cut back a whole lot. Lactase is an enzyme, so it’s probably available over-the-counter if I want to pig out on a calzone or something like that.

I knew it wouldn’t be too long before I’d have issues with my diet. Too many people have told me that I don’t have to worry about what I eat. I hate when they do that.

I am filled with excitement because I just remembered that I will be in Charlottesville Friday and I can go to Plan 9. Whoopeee!!! I hate buying cds in New York because of the sales tax. I just started a list of cds I’ve seen and I’ll buy them in Virginia at only 4.5%

Today is Pearl River and Chinatown. I am shopping until James drops. He is living vicariously through my purchases. :-)

Art comes back tonight. I think we’ll just play aroud the house. I found some drunken goat cheese at the market so I plan on making gnocchi and some little tapas for din-din. Yummmmm.

James has subjected me to MTV this evening. I had the great pleasure of hearing/seeing the new Missy Elliot. It was soo horrible and incoherent. I can’t believe anyone would request that thing. James liked it though…… (but you know what weird taste he has)

It was sooo windy and cold today. It was great. Although I did see a lot of fur wearers. We started our day off by going to Kid Robot. It was really cute and had some different things than Toy Tokyo. More of the super urban collectibles. But it was in SoHo and was really crowded. I definitely liked the atmosphere of Toy Tokyo more. But I still bought stuff. :-) I got 3 Pete Fowler Toy Capsule Series figures and one CI-Boys 3 Monster Series figure.

Popped into the Keith Haring store for a bit. Got a really cute little outfit for Ada.

Then it was off to the Met to check out the El Greco exhibit. We got there and stood in line to check in our coats and bags then after all that decided it was way too busy and crowded so we left. ahahah. We were both hungry so we decided to go back downtown and eat at El Cantinero.

It was really cute and delicious there. They all thought we were on a date and tried to make it extra romantic for us. Ahahhaha. Gave us candles and everything. They were very sweet and the place was soo festive and fun.

Tomorrow I’ll drag James to Chinatown and probably Little Italy. Saving the best for last. You know it takes me at least 2 hours to look through Pearl River alone.

James and I did a bit of shopping today. Well, I did most of the shopping.

First stop, Other Music. I really hadn’t planned on cd shopping, but I just can’t stop once I get started. Here’s the great haul:

  • Mum - Please Smile My Noise Bleed
  • The Herbaliser Solid Steel comp
  • 9 Lazy 9 - Paradise Blown
  • Ninja Cuts: Flexistentialism, The Joy of Dex
  • Cujo - Adventures in Foam
  • Four Tet - Dialogue
  • Kid Koala - Some Of My Best Friends Are DJs
  • Luke Vibert - YosepH
  • Plaid - Remixes, Parts in the Post
  • Quiet Personal Electronics - Boolean Logic

Then it was off to Toy Tokyo. There I got a Gloomy Bear purse, a cute little Hidamari No Tami thing, one of the Knock Man Family guys, and some treasures for other people.

After that we met up with one of James’s friends called Micah. He was super cool. We found this super delicious Thai restaurant and had lunch there. It was sooo yummy, and so cheap.

The three of us walked around for the rest of the day and went to various places. James and I stopped by Forbidden Planet on the way home and I got some fun stuff there, namely the Roman Dirge Halfsies figures. So precious. Poor little animals that got cut in half so you can mix and match them. :-) Bought a few other treasures throughout the day, but they will turn into presents when I get home.

Now I am gonna go make some drinks and dinner and I guess we’ll sit around and be silly……

November 28th, 2003

It’s set for Feb. 12. I’ll be flying out probably the night before unless I can convince my bosses to give me 3 whole days off. I’m working tomorrow to get a “bonus” day (meaning I can take off any day that I choose and have it paid for). Maybe they’ll need me on Christmas Eve too :P

Yay for Kinder eggs! Tell James and Art that I say “Hallo”.

Have a fantastic time in New York.

When are you coming to see me anyway?

November 27th, 2003

I’m in New York and they have all five Pom flavours!!!! I bought blueberry and tangerine.

Plus, James says they sell Kinder eggs everywhere. Yay for illegal shopping!!!!

Wow! You wouldn’t believe how many comments I got today on this Cure DVD I had brought in for Gabe to copy. There are a lot of Cure fans here.

November 26th, 2003

Well, I’ll soon be off for NYC for a delicious visit with James. I’m very excited to see him again. I’m even excited for New York, if you can believe that. After that last hellacious trip, I didn’t know if I’d ever set foot there again.

But this time is good because I am taking the train, so no automobiles to deal with. And I’ll be there for 5 days which gives me plenty of exploring time. I won’t have to cram it all in like we had to last time.

Pray for cold weather for me.

Any dates for your tattoo visit yet?
