My grandmother is always on my case about getting enough calcium due to an abundance of arthritis and osteoporosis in the fam. She’s one of those who thinks my vegetarianism is unhealthy. Because I’m not getting all the nutrients I need. Ahhh, old people.
I was delighted to see that today’s Vegan Lunch Box post points to an article which suggests that plant based diets are actually beneficial in preventing and treating joint damage. I, of course, forwarded it to her right away.

Ghee is really good for you. In Tibet, they feed it to newborn babies before mother’s milk.

I don’t know if I would agree that filling a baby with cow fat before its own mother’s fat is really “good.”
Maybe unsaturated, vegetable based Ghee? :-)

But when you said “Take That ,Ghee”…weren’t you referring to your grandmother and not the cow fat???

A funny coincidence!
When I first read your entry title, I was all excited. Then I realized that you were talking to/about your grandmother. The topic just seemed to need the connection.
