Gillian wanted a picture of the one with the pretty label. And a mix. And to steal your brains!

Robyn Hitchcock

Jared and I went down to Carrboro last Friday to see Robyn Hitchcock and the Venus 3 at Cat’s Cradle. It was quite surreal. Robyn Hitchcock is never someone I imagined I would see live. And everyone there was so old. It was weird. Osiris spent the whole time napping on the couch in the back. Lil’ Cutie.

Jared, of course, cried his way through the show and even afterwards got to meet RH and get an autograph and cry some more.

Sweet Baby James and I will be seeing Miss Björk Guðmundsdóttir perform two shows in NYC in early May. May 5th at The United Palace and May 8th at The Apollo Theater.

Tickets for the United Palace show were procured quickly, as soon as the sale started. The Apollo, however, required 77 minutes of both of us hitting “search”, typing in the code, and hitting “try again.” It was frustrating to say the least.

I had initially hoped to spend that weekend visiting with my Wob and seeing Brother Ali & Psalm One in Charlottesville with Crystal, but… well… it’s Björk. I didn’t really have a choice now did I?

I just got my much anticipated Epilady in the mail yesterday and today I epilated my armpits. Seriously. It was a little uncomfortable (ha ha), but strangely exciting.

I had been waiting days to be able to do this. I’m still waiting on my legs. It’s epilator mania around here.

I dread summer. The thought of it makes me miserable. Where did the winter go? The word will soon become obsolete. Global warming sucks.

My ideal would be 250 days of chilly to cold, below 60. With the other 100 and so springy/fally. But nothing above 75. Ever. And blue skies with big puffy white clouds. A warm sun and a chilly breeze. Lightning storms at night. Open windows and fires.

Iceland.
