Henry Selick, Neil Gaiman, They Might Be Giants. What’s not to love?
Oh yeah, Dakota Fanning. That kid creeps me right out.
Today’s the kind of day where I can really appreciate having a desk by a window. It’s gray and rainy and blustery and I’m completely hypnotized.

I don’t have ridiculously small fingers. I wear a 6 or a 6.5 on ring, middle, and fore, which I think is pretty normal. Yet all the rings I see online are size 7+. I’ve bought all these size 7 rings hoping to make them work, but they just twist and turn and drive me nuts. What is with the fat rings? Normal sized fingers want cuteness too.
Today I got a random IM from a guy Charity dated years and years and years ago in Richmond. We talked for a while and caught up. He is currently living in Austin, TX, working in the IT department for a sex toy manufacturer. He ended the conversation by telling me to pick out some things from the site and he would send them to me for free. SCORE! I’m totally ordering toys tomorrow.
Then I get to work and T asks me if I would mind going out with her tomorrow and help her pick out some porn that she could give her brother for xmas. How could I refuse?
And just now I receive an email from James pointing me to this: www.2girls1cup.com. It’s totally weird and campy, and I’m surprised they could make it through filming it without either throwing up or completely busting out laughing at the ridiculousness of it.
(ps - don’t click that link unless you’re really in the mood to be grossed out, which does sometimes happen)
Today I was behind a man in line at the grocery store who was buying a banana. Just one banana. The lady ringing up the banana put it in a bag. Then the man paid for his banana with a credit card.
I kid you not.
I’ve been busying myself lately making various little jewelry bits. I’ve made a disaster of the kitchen, there are materials spread all about, but I think the outcome is worth it. I set up a little etsy shop at isodotbot.com. Have a gander!
I still have so much left to upload. This is work, really.

Comedy actor PAUL REUBEN is reprising his most famous character to make two new PEE-WEE HERMAN movies. Just months after vowing never to play the kids’ favourite again, Reubens is working on two new scripts - the first due for release in 2009, 19 years after he retired the beloved character. He explains his change of heart to MTV, “I feel like the time is really ripe right now. A lot of the kids who grew up with the show are young adults. The college kids are middle-aged adults. I feel like I have enough of a built-in audience to make back an investment.”
I’m not sure how I feel about this. Of course, I love me the hell out of some Pee Wee’s Playhouse, but I also know how disastrous these kinds of things usually end up.
Finally, videos of Portishead at ATP’s Nightmare Before Christmas party are popping up. The new album is do in April. Anticipation indeed.
