All went well with the surgeon yesterday. He said it is healing fine and there is no need to cut out any more tissue. He gave me an antibiotic ointment to keep on it so it doesn’t get re-infected, and I am to visit him again next week for a checkup.
I am feeling much better about the whole thing now. It doesn’t hurt at all anymore. It’s just gross and ugly and I’ll be bandaged for the next 6 weeks or so.

Phew! I’m glad to know that you won’t have to have your leg amputated. Did they finally agree that it was a brown recluse?

i’m glad you’re starting to feel better! thankfully there’s a ton of public transportation in portland so you won’t necessarily have to walk around for millions of miles.

there will never be a way to know for sure, but the consensus is definitely a spider bite of some kind.
