Heidi and I took the quickest trip ever to NYC to see the Halloween broadcast of the Martha Stewart Show. It was pretty crazy and surreal and awesome. I can’t believe all the energy they pump into the world before 11 am. There must be a lot of coffee consumed in that studio.
We got to visit with James for a hot minute afterwards, and had lunch in Hell’s Kitchen at Tacocina. Then we headed towards Union Square and made our way to Pearl River Mart. After a brief happy hour stop in Little Italy, we were back on the bus and headed home.
There was a lot of fun packed into that 10 hour day.

Wayne Martin Belger makes the most awesome 4”x5” pinhole cameras I have ever laid eyes on.
This one is called Third Eye and is made from a 150 year old skull of a 13 year old girl.
He has also constructed cameras using a baby’s heart, HIV+ blood (using the blood as a red filter, omg he rules), bug parts, antlers, and many other wonderful and random parts.
If Jared and I were to hop in a time machine, go back to 1964, and produce and nurture a spawn, it would totally be this guy. He is completely killing me right now. I am coveting like a maniac.
Added a few more items to the shop today. I’m just loving the hell out of those rings. And that red caviar necklace.
Put some new things up in the shop over the weekend. Maria’s already snatching things up, so if you see something you like, you’d better act quick. :-)
I’ve got some darling new rings I just finished, too. I’m gonna try and get pics of them this afternoon so I can get them up ASAP.
Here’s a preview of some of the goodies I’ll be uploading to the shop soon. It’s hard to find time during the week to get pictures taken, but hopefully Daylight Savings will help me out.
Miss Amanda Davis is my Valentine this year. We have plans to go out somewhere tonight, just not yet sure where. She says I get to choose because I’m a picky ol’ vegetarian.
I made some v-day treats for her and her baby sister. Cute little Aranzi Aronzo-ish kitties, peanut butter-chocolate chip-hazelnut-oatmeal cookies, and a mix cd.
Look, the kitties even come with real live kitty fur. (i’ll take this as a hint that i need to make kitty toys for my shady-boff.)
ps - happy birthday to dustin
I’ve been busying myself lately making various little jewelry bits. I’ve made a disaster of the kitchen, there are materials spread all about, but I think the outcome is worth it. I set up a little etsy shop at isodotbot.com. Have a gander!
I still have so much left to upload. This is work, really.
