Miss Amanda Davis is my Valentine this year. We have plans to go out somewhere tonight, just not yet sure where. She says I get to choose because I’m a picky ol’ vegetarian.

I made some v-day treats for her and her baby sister. Cute little Aranzi Aronzo-ish kitties, peanut butter-chocolate chip-hazelnut-oatmeal cookies, and a mix cd.

Look, the kitties even come with real live kitty fur. (i’ll take this as a hint that i need to make kitty toys for my shady-boff.)

Jared just told me that today he learned a new way to trick Shady into thinking I was home. For those of you who don’t know, Shady passionately hates him and will not show her face when I am not around, even if I am away for weeks out of the country. She hides deep.

So his new trick is to put on a pair of my shoes and go and open and close the back door. Then he walks to the front of the house and waits for her to appear, look shocked and pissed off, and then run away to hide.

Sounds to me like someone needs to get a job and get out of the house.

Barney takes kitty butt scratches to a whole new level.

If you listen closely, you can hear he also makes a strange noise while doing this.

I still really want a munchkin kitty and a solid brown kitty. Honestly. I may complain, but I do actually like cleaning up vomit, pee, and poop everyday. No joke.

ps - Another outdoor kitty has started coming around. He’s an Oso doppleganger. When I see him I have to look around the house to make sure Oso didn’t get out. This brings us up to 5 regular outdoor visitors, not including the raccoons and opossums and random kitty vistors. I spend so much money on cat food.

This is exactly what Clancy does, too. So weird and precious.
