My very treasured birthday buddy made two super awesome mixes especially for me on his excellent podcast, DJ Cornbread’s Honeycomb Hideout. He knows just how to make me happy.

He’s a total dream and a husband for life. I may just have to return the favor one of these days… (tbc)

James and I are enjoying an IM date of Cure after Cure after Cure, just like old times. Cure Sundays. I’m in nostalgia overload. I want nothing more to be in his old darkened bedroom burning Morning Star incense and singing and dancing and laughing and loving.

Yesterday was National Spumoni Day, which, in my opinion, is the only national holiday worth celebrating. I took the Chinatown bus up to NYC and spent the day celebrating with Albee. It was the most delicious day ever.

Bonus - CvT is up here for the weekend too. I hope to see him and the Brooklyn crew out tonight.

Oh August, it’s looking like you are going to end up being the best month ever. Not only do I get Mexico play date with OJ, a long-awaited visit from my Rob, Brooklyn reunion with Albee, CvT Brooklyn date, and Pumpkin’s b-day bash - but now I can add to that RVA-getaway with Crystal this Saturday.

And I just read that Busdriver is touring with People Under The Stairs and Flobots, and will be playing The National this Saturday!

I didn’t even ask Crystal’s permission, I just went ahead and bought the tickets and know that we will have the best night.

I’ve been having a love affair with White Chalk all weekend. We took a little break, but decided to rekindle our relationship. It’s been wonderful. I’ve been singing at the top of my lungs in delight.

I wish I could still play the piano.
